“Can’t Hear It” (Bula La Remix) March 16th, 2021

 “Can’t Hear It (Bula La Remix) is a collaboration between London-based singer and producer Lyys and NJ-based bedroom popper and producer Bula La. In Lyys’ words, it’s song is about “preferring to stay in a lie rather than face up to a sad truth because you’re not ready.”

Lyys (rhymes with ‘eyes’) is the work of Sussex-born, South-London-based singer-songwriter and producer Rebecca Holloway. The beautifully melodic and moreish strand of glistening DIY indie-pop is inspired by sprawling influences from Cocteau Twins and Camera Obscura to Caroline Polachek and The Japanese House.

Bula La is producer and singer-songwriter Oscar Suh-Rodriguez's solo bedroom pop project. A mix of songwriting and remixing, his work is eclectic, electro-acoustic, and collaborative, meant to sound like someone spilled over a few dozen boxes full of jewelry.
